Mr. Heron earned his Masters Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Queens College. Now in his 17th year of teaching, Mr. Heron has extensive experience with the Algebra curriculum, having taught pre-algebra and several forms of the Algebra 1 curriculum during his career. Mr. Heron has also participated in grading the Algebra Regents Exam for the past 12 years in his Long Island School District. In addition to teaching middle and high school students, Mr. Heron also enjoys sharing his love of math with his wife and four children.
Ms. Castanio acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics Education from Stony Brook University and a Masters Degree in Secondary Special Education from Wagner College. During both her undergraduate and graduate schooling, she was trained specifically to become a Common Core educator. This is her 6th year teaching Mathematics. She has taught 7th grade, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry and Pre-Calculus over the course of her teaching experience. She currently teaches on Long Island, fulfiling her career in education, where she also resides.
Ms. Poulos acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Earth Science Education from the University of Delaware and a Masters Degree in Special Education from Hofstra University. This year marks her 13th year of teaching both Earth Science and Physical Science on Long Island. Ms. Poulos resides on Long Island with her two children.
Ms. Ciani has been helping students achieve their academic goals since graduating from C.W. Post-Long Island University with a Masters Degree in Secondary Education. She has been teaching on Long Island for the past fourteen years. She is certified to teach Earth Science, Biology, & Chemistry and has also enjoyed time teaching AP Environmental.
Ms. Voustinas acquired both her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and her Masters Degree in Education from St. John's University. This year marks her 18th year teaching Physical Science, Life Science and Living Environment. Ms. Voustinas resides with her husband and daughter in Long Island, as well as their home in Greece.
Mr. Stadler acquired his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics and Astronomy from San Francisco State University and his Masters Degree in education from Queens College. He has spent the last 11 years teaching physics and forensics at Francis Lewis HS in Fresh Meadows, New York. John lives in Oceanside, NY with his wife and two children.
